I had the same problem, but I can't remember which
version of Money I had at the time. Unfortunately I
never figured it out. I've also had problems with Money
marking transactions as reconciled when they are not,
which really screws up your balance, usually long before
you are aware of the problem.

My solution...I upgraded to Money 2004 and hope they got
the bugs worked out.

I have Money 99 on XP. Just a few days ago I had everything entered and
balanced without a hitch, but then a mistake was made, and I re-entered
some transactions for Sept. 2003, and tried re-balancing everything from
the beginning (April 2002). Here's the problem: everything balances out,
but the program insists that my opening balance is off by two dollars. Let
me just say that it's not. I've even tried entering in a fictitious
previous month (March 2002) with a bogus account adjustment, and even that,
it turns out, is off by two dollars. What the hell is going on?
