I'm new to Money but I've been suing a category I call
Depreciation for this task for years in Quicken. I just
write all changes in value (up or down) to this category,
and then do not include it in my cash flow or budget
reports (since it's not really money I'm spending or
making until it's "realized" i.e. sold)
