| Problem solved.... With the initial email confirming my purchase I was provided with a MONEY 2004 ACTIVATION NUMBER. I was making the mistake of opening my curren money database immediately upon re-installation which would then lock me out of the program because it thought my 60 trial period had expired. After thinking about it I uninstalled and the re-installed the program. I allowed the install to open a default money database. After that I simply had to follow the original instructions to "Upgrade" using the activation code that Microsoft by going to "TOOLS" on the main menu bar and then on the drop down "UPGRADE" and then enter the "THE MONEY ACTIVATION NUMBER" which I had originally been provided with back in October. What kills me is that no one at the Microsoft Help Desk could walk me through this. I hope some else leanrs from my stoooooopidity. Regards, Tim D. "had provided & bud-da-bing life was good again. | I recently had to reformat my hard drive. My version of Money 2004 was a downloaded trial which I later purchased. After re-installing MM2004 I could not access the program because it "appeared" that the trial period had expired. I checked the email that was sent after the purchase and it only provided an Activation Code. I called Microsoft who after an hour admitted defeat and nformed me that the would send me a "real" installable version CD with a product key. Does anyone know of another way around this until I get this CD in the mail? |
