| Assuming M02 or higher: create a scheduled bill in the investment cash/401k contributions account (important: a bill, not an investment purchase) and, in the bill, create splits with category "buy investment/cd" (you may have to type the whole thing out as it may not be available in the pull-down or auto-complete) for each investment you want to buy. Set the dollar amount of the investment and the investment account. You may have to put in a guess as to share price if you track your 401k as shares not $1 shares. You can fix this guess when you get real data. Does this help? I think it gets at what you were asking. This is another fine example of where the new scheduled bills interfaces makes it hard or impossible to do things you can enter in the register with relative ease. | I have three mutual funds that comprise my retirement portfolio. Each fund gets an automatic deposit every two weeks. I can't figure out how to set my funds up for recurring deposits. I can do it under "contributions" for the retirement portfolio as a whole, but I can't add a specific dollar amount every two weeks to each fund. Can any help. Thank you. |
