| Anonymous, you're missing the point. You keep screaming about footnote 3; downloading quotes is essential but insufficient. Once again, the boxes for "Track your investments" and "Calculate capital gains/losses" are checked for deluxe and not for standard. If this means no investment reports, cap gains, portfolios or ROI calcs, then I agree with sjcohen that M2004 standard is no help with investing. BTW, who cares if the guy made a typo.... And BTW, your last reply to me concluded, "this should include mutual funds." Nobody was even asking about that. anonymous wrote: - quote - > SJCOHEN730........... > your comment:::: "standard won't whelp with investing" > what is "whelp"? you type and don't read before posting? > and you did not read the FOOTNOTE 3 on this site > or the footnote on the box. > www.microsoft.com/money/info/comparison.asp > on the chart for: > --standard version > --ONLINE SERVICES > --2 years > --footnote 3 (on the box) > ..."downloading stock quotes"... > Online bill pay... > downloading transactions from your financial > institution... > downloading stock quotes...2 years... > Bottom line folks...ignore SJCOHEN730... > purchase desired software to meet your requirements. > read the chart and the footnotes. > > -----Original Message----- > > Footnote 2 states: The Converter Wizard for QuickenŽ in > the U.S. version of > > Microsoft Money 2004 Premium will convert files from > Quicken U.S. versions > > 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Quicken 2002, and Quicken 2003. > > > However the check mark is in Microsoft Money > 2004 'Standard' as well as the > > Premium. | Bottom line folks: Money 2004 Deluxe has everything most people want. Premium is a rip-off and standard won't whelp with investing. If you have a prior version and are happy with it, then wait for next year. If you don't mind spending the $20 or so, then update. I would suggest you consider updating when the new version comes out in the summer, not at this time of year unless you have an older version. JMHO. Steve |

| On that web page you referenced, the box "Track your investments" (I used the phrase "investment tracking") is checked for deluxe, but not for standard. Does that mean no portfolios, investment reports, etc? I believe this would drastically reduce the usefulness of the standard package. anonymous wrote: - quote - > taxcut std + free money std > and you did not read footnote 3....... > Online services valid two or three years from first use. > Online bill pay, downloading transactions from your > financial institution, downloading stock quotes, and the > ability to synchronize with MSNŽ Money Plus or MSN Money > expire two years from first use of Microsoft Money > Standard or September 1, 2006, whichever is earlier. > Online bill pay, downloading transactions from your > financial institution, downloading stock quotes, and the > ability to synchronize with MSNŽ Money Plus or MSN Money > expire three years from first use of Microsoft Money 2004 > Premium or September 1, 2007, whichever is earlier. > www.microsoft.com/money/info/comparison.asp > > -----Original Message----- > > What you get free is the standard package, not deluxe, > right? | Mike you're correct. All I see different about Money this year is that it's been broken out into versions; Standard, Deluxe, and Premium. The Premium is last years deluxe version for double the money with absolutely no enhancements...of course, I'm hoping someone can prove me wrong.
