Actually, I think it tells you that it will create a backup file (actually,
I think it just renames the original) of the existing version before
creating a second file for the new version.

File|New will let you start over. I'm with Steve--I'm really not sure why
you'd want to do that.

Yes, you can start a brand NEW file with Money 2004 after it brings your old
data into the original file. But WHY would you do that? If you have data for
the past three years and it is not complete or scattered, it will still help
you toward organizing for the future. Remember, Money 2004 is NOT a program
intended for using just in 2004. It can be used with any data you enter going
back as far as you want and using it as far as you would like to in future
years. Good luck.

I currently have money 2001 and want to install Money
2004. I wanted to start a new Money file and not
incorporate my data from 2001, but when installing 2004 it
indicates that my 2001 data will be overwritten and
brought into 2004. Is there any way to start a new 2004
Money file without bringin in my 2001 data?
