Default Debt Reduction Planner

OK, I spoke too soon. I did receive a reply. These are
the instructions they gave me to clear this problem:

1. Open Money 2004 and click the Tools menu -> Options.

2. On the Planner tab, click "Reset Debt Plan".

3. On the Planner menu, click "Debt Reduction Planner".

4. Click "Get Started".

5. If the accounts you want to track don't exist in
Money, click "New Account", and then set up a
mortgage/loan account.

6. Click the accounts you want to track under Debt
Accounts Not in Debt Plan, and click "Move into Plan".
These will generally be your credit card debt and other
high-interest loans.

7. Click Next.

8. For "Base my plan on", click an option for your plan.
You can base your plan on how much you want to pay each
month and have Money tell you how soon you will be out of
debt, or vice versa.

9. Depending on your choice in Step 8, the Enter your
monthly allocation for debt box or the Enter the date you
want to be out of debt box displays. Enter the amount or
the date. Move the slider to experiment with different
amounts or dates. The text at the bottom of the page
describes your results.

10. In the "Making a One-time, Extra Payment" box, please
enter 0.00.

11. Click Next to view your payment schedule.

12. To see a different view of your debt reduction plan,
click View near the top of the page, and then
click "Payment Schedule Chart, Payment Schedule by
Month", or "Payment Schedule by Account".

13. Click Next to see a list of recommended debt
payments.

14. To schedule a payment, select the check box next to
the account.

15. Click Finish.

Hope this helps you like it helped me.

Default Debt Reduction Planner

The program does this to mean time and again, too. I
can't get rid of it. If you leave it and just start
paying it off, you'll find that this will just keep
building and building until you have a massive payment to
make, according to the program.

I've logged a complaint with MS and have yet to hear from
them. Their site says they usually respond within 24
hours and it's been seven days since I sent in my
complaint. Based on this, I'd say the company doesn't
care that the program doesn't work.

Default Debt Reduction Planner

I am using Money 2003 Deluxe & Business. I was setting up
a debt reduction plan. I moved all the debt I has into
the plan. Second, I told it how much I wanted to pay a
month. Finally, the program asked if I wanted to schedule
my debt payments according to the plan.

Everything was looking great until that last step. I told
the program I would spend $1,500.00 a month on debt. In
that last step it was saying that I would have to pay
$3,773.00 for a bill due 1/20/2004. Where did it get that
number from?!?!?!?
