This sounds like it may be (i.e., I'm not 100% sure about this) an issue
related to information formerly available from what was called a
branding server (or Branding and Directory Server (BDS)) in the 9x
editions of Money. I believe Microsoft turned these servers off (a long
time ago) to 'encourage' people to upgrade to newer versions.

There was a work around of 1.) holding down the shift key to bypass
internet connection to the branding server, and 2.) locating the
relevant file(s) on your local machine, that would have been read by
Money from said server across the internet, had the server been
