It's a bookmark that is generated from the key to one of the questions. It
is not related to the old S/Q style bookmarks or the human readable S/Q
numbering. If you get a current copy of the file--see Cal's post--you will
find these bookmarks present in the file. The reason for the change was that
the old style bookmarks (e.g., #S3Q4) were inherently unstable since the
next time the file was generated, reordering or added questions broke old
bookmarks.

Of course, the first FAQ ever published with this answer had the text
"Imputed" so you could also search the page for that text.

If you saved the FAQ as

C:\Documents and Settings\Barry\My Documents\MoneyFAQ.htm

then enter
C:\Documents and Settings\Barry\My Documents\MoneyFAQ.htm#Q45
into the Address box of IE6, or modify the address after you have
used your link to reach the page. Then click the Go button or press
the Enter key.

I have noticed several responses like this. I don't know if it is the
result of recent reorganization of the data in the FAQ or not but
there is no Q35. There are however multiple Q1s, Q2s, ... Q9s. The
highest numbered question is Q20.

Is there a secret decoding ring the will let those of us who saved the
page locally get from the Q number you present to the text in the
current version?

That's how it should be. Though it should show in the gross as income but
then it's deducted on the other side to offset it so the net is 0. Until
the end of the year when you have to pay taxes on the gross. The government
is going to get your money any way they can. Until we do something about
it!

Interesting. Mine just effects my taxes, but doesn't show in gross, so my
method is neutral. Add on one tab, subtract on another = net $0.

That's pretty much how I thought of it. My problem is that my check stub
doesn't seem to balance when I do that. If I add the imputed income to my
regular wage and then deduct it on the post tax tab it doesn't add up to my
net pay. This is my stub from the company. It's like they added the life
insurance premium to the gross pay but when they deducted it they deducted
it from my regular pay. Very strange.

Default Imputed Income

My company has started documenting Imputed Income for the portion of the
premium for our company paid life insurance that paid for the amount over
$50,000 as required by the IRS.

How do I record that in my paycheck transaction in Money 2004?
