Yes, the CD/Savings Bond investment type adds very little (no?) value in
this way.

Thanks Dick.

I'm in Australia. I did try to it up as CD or Cash Bond under investment
too.
However, if you generated the report against this investment, I can't see
the performance on the Maturity date.

For example,

If I have AUD$ 30,000 and save as 1 year with 5.5% p.a interest rate on
1/1/2003.
I should have a AUD$1,650 interest earning on maturity date 1/1/2004.

When I generate report against this account 12 month later, there is no any
progress or interest earning showing on the report.
In oterh word, Money seem not be able to let you know, how much you will
earn on the maturity date if you set up as CD or Cash bound.

Is this like the Investment Type "CD" which would be held in an Investment
Account? This is Certificate of Deposit here in the States. I don't think it
will do what you want in terms of automagically accumulating interest, but
it may be the nearest investment type.

Default How to set up a Term-deposit account

Hi

Does any one know "How to set up a Term-deposit account ? ".

Should "Term deposit" (or Fix deposit) account regarded as "Bank account"
or "Investment account" ?

If it belong to "Bank" account, how can I set up the interest rate and know
how much interest I will gain on it's maturity.
If it belong to "Investment", which category it belong to ?
If it belong none of above account, which account I should created from ?

Thanks
Albert
