Glad I could help, thanks for the feedback. Yes, it's really amazing how
many transactions can't be scheduled but can be entered. Clearly everybody
designing the thing has never thought about people who are spending down
their savings rather than building them up.

I guess the software engineers don't think about being
retired! No way to "sell" in a brokerage account. I can't
believe it. Anyway, I'll be able to do a "work around" on
this one...and greatly appreciate your input. It will be
helpful.

As to Q1, unfortunately Money can only schedule investment purchases, not
sales. You could setup a recurring transfer from the cash account half of
the retirement investment account, if there is one; but you will have to do
the sells to generate the cash by hand.

Generally, budgeting a transfer from one cash account to the other has no
meaning. You have cash in one pocket. You move it to another. You have not
gotten richer or poorer. It's cash flow--which is treated in the Forecast
Cash Flow page, but it's neither income nor expense which is what Budget
Planner deals with. The one exception is if one of the accounts is marked in
its details to not be included in budget planner.

Default setting up a budget

Need an accountant for this one I think. Where do I find
how to set up a monthly withdrawal from my IRA in Money?
I don't have my investment accounts added to the program
yet so my Money does not "see" them.

Also I have a taxable account with a cash balance and want
to "budget" (using the budget feature) a monthly transfer
of funds from it to my checking account. Money thinks this
is "income" and it is not. How do I put that in?

thanks for all your help. if you need more info,I'll
supply.
