Since you said that you are able to install other programs from this CD
Drive, then it sounds like your MsMoney CD is defective. Try wiping the
bottom of the CD with a soft cloth. If that doesn't help, try it in another
computer and if you have the same problem, contact Microsoft and they will
replace it for you. I originally thought it might be a defective CD Rom,
but since you are able to load other programs from it...........Try loading
another CD and see if it reads it, if not the CD drive is bad.

Can you copy the CD to your hard disk? If yes, try running setup from there.

Doesn't sound like a Money problem. Sounds like the media, the drive, or the
computer.

It won't start the setup process. If I go into explore or
run it tells me to put a CD in the drive.

Hi Angela

What do you mean by it won't read the CD?

Default CD won't run

I am trying to upgrade from money 2001 to 2004. For some
reason my CD-ROM drive will not read the CD. I believe my
computer has the system requirements, however, I'm unsure
about one thing. My computer has a 633 mhz intel celeron
processor. I am not sure how that compares to the Pentium
Processor. Could this be the reason it won't read the CD?
I have recently loaded another program (Turbo Tax) from CD
with no problem. Any Advice would be helpful. Thanks for
your time.
