Appreciate the response.

I'll take a closer look and try and figure out the
versions I'm working with.

Thanks,

We'll see if that works and I'll post for others if it
does.

The requirement for a password normally indicates that you are trying to
open version x+1 file with version x software. A quick test would be to
download M2004 trial for your geographic region and see if you can open your
Money file. Make a careful note of where M2004 puts the backup copy of your
file in case you want/need to revert.

This can happen when you're trying to open a file created by a newer version
of Money with an older version of Money. When you re-installed, are you sure
you didn't revert the version of Money installed?!?!?

Default Password

Had to re-install windows xp, ever since Money requires a
password to open my money files.

Never set up a password!

Crack programs even indicate the file is NOT password
protected.

I have updated Money.

Dont know what else to do. Anyone else run into this
problem after reinstalling?
