I think you will have to dele3te and recreate the account as a home equity
line of credit.

Dick,

Thanks for the quick reply. I guess you touched on one of
my problems. The line of credit is a traditional loan,
used to purchase a house, and not a credit card, however,
under the account list it shows this line of credit like a
credit card along with all my other credit cards. when I
go to change the details of this account, Money will not
let me change it because it is an electronic enabled
account in which the account type is credit card. I guess
it should be labeled as a Liability. Do you know of a way
to change the account type of an electronic enabled
account? Thanks Scott

If it's really a line of credit (some type of credit card) account not a
Loan account, I don't find this surprising. You really don't lose or gain
much of anything by tying an asset account to a liability account. I'm not
sure Money does much of anything with this besides note the relationship.

Default Associate Loan to Asset

I have a loan from a bank which shows up as a line of
credit when I download information from this bank. This
loan is for my house. I created an Asset which I call "my
house" then I try to associate the line of credit with my
house asset. Unfortunately, I cannot pick the loan/line
of credit from the Pull Down Window when I choose add a
loan under "change account details" - No Loans show up in
the pull down window. Am I missing something or does
Money 04 not support this procedure. Thanks in Advance
