| They both do the same thing in the registers. Credit Card Payment was added for people who couldn't get over the notion of Transfer and insisted they were making a Credit Card Payment and not a Transfer. It has the net effect of delaying the point at which these same users understand that it really as a Transfer and why that is. For this reason, I recommend the more normative Transfer. However, the goofball requirements of the Scheduled Bills dialog box will force some differences scheduling them that the registers do not force. Try scheduling Bill --> Category: Credit Card Payment : <account name> with no Payee. You can enter transactions in the register like this all day long, but you can't schedule them. Alternatively, you do not have to have a Payee to schedule the Transfer --> Category: Transfer : <account name> .
