Tools/Options/Online Services. Change the range for matching to 1 day.
That seems to fix it unless there are 2 similar (by their matching
algorithm) on the same day. Their algorithm clearly sucks since I had
it "match" two transactions that were to different payees, for
different amounts, and 3 days apart.

When I called them last year, they said they were aware of the issue.
Apparently it's not fixed for 2004.

Default Adjust the tolerance for matching downloaded transactions -- Money 2003

Hi.

I've shot myself in the foot a couple of times by accepting downloaded
transactions that Money marked as probable matches. Only they weren't
matches, and in one case, it tried to match (and altered the amount of!!) a
reconciled transaction.

How do I either (1) tell money not to match against reconciled transactions
(2) not to match transactions with different values, (3) both ??

thanks!
