Did you set the starting balance to a credit rather than a debit balance? Is
it the right account type?

I understand that. However, When I enter a charge for example my balance
goes from $200 to $100. It should do the exact opposite.

It will - think about it. If you start off a credit card with a balance of
$0 and then spend $100 then your credit card balance is -$100. i.e. you owe
the CC company $100.
