Make sure your Quicken version is one the specified types. e.g., not
Quicken 2004.

Consider doing validation super-validate in Quicken first.

Consider the steps in
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;310560 for
selective startup or clean boot. That way there will be a minimum of
other things running while you do the conversion.

Default QDF file conversion

MS Money 2004 suddenly and inexplicably closes when I try
to convert my Quicken file. I have a folder with all of
the Quicken data in it - validated - with a number of
different extensions including *.qdf which starts the
process, *.qel *.qsd and *.hcx .

Money gets to the stage of converting the data and then
closes with no prompt, no warning, nothing.

What to do.....?????
