That link only addresses partial payments. I need to
show an offsetting credit (such as a discount) against a
billing entry.

Default negative/offsetting adjustments on Invoice

I need to post a credit against an item billed on a Money
2003 Invoice but the quantity or price will not accept
negative values. How else can I reflect a negative
adjustment on an invoice?
