Default Re: Switching Computers

The data file ends in the extension .mny and is usually stored in My
Documents by default, but could be stored anywhere on the computer. You can
also restored a backup file to the new computer running Money 2000. If you
copy either the backup or the .mny file to the new computer, either one
should convert to 2000 when you try to open in the new version.

The data is stored in your Money data file, see
http://www.bollar.org/msmoney/#Q109 and http://www.bollar.org/msmoney/#Q68.

Default Switching Computers

I am switching computers. Currently use Money 98. Where
is the data file stored? The new computer has Money
2000. Is there anything I will need to do to open the old
data with Money 2000?
