You want to start totally from scratch? Yes, you can do that.> we like to start off our account registers without the > historical register data going back to 1999. File-> New can do that, plus I am pretty sure that starting with a new file is an option during Money 2004 install. If you want to remove older non-investment transactions from your file before or after conversion, look at "archive" in help. That is what Archive does. Note that there is no way to re-integrate the older data. The archive file is a copy of the file as it existed before archiving. The continuing Money file has older transactions removed. |

| Sure. It just depends on how much work you want to do. You can start a brand new file (File|New) but will have to recreate all of the account information, any investment information, and so on. The alternate involves archiving--which for lots of reasons I don't recommend--or deleting lots of transactions and setting new starting balances. "J. | My wife and I would like to upgrade to Money 2004, but we we like to start off our account registers without the historical register data going back to 1999. If we upgrade can we do so without have to bring forward all of our old account register info? |
