Your ISP could switch your email address. Then just tell your
friends. It is already too late for your old one. Spammers have
probably begun selling it to each other.

So now you are using somebody else's address to get that spammed
too?

30 days will largely solve this unless you make the same mistake again. But
no administrator in the world can "fix" this for you. You news message has
now propagated to thousands of Usenet servers around the ether.

Well, I made the mistake of supplying a real email on a post of mine. Now I
am getting bombarded with virus emails.

I was just wondering if someone could remove my email address or switch it to
a different one.

And all these administrators can do zip about spam as
exhibited by all the patches that pop on the Microsoft
newsgroups......

No there ain't. If there was the spam would be gone (maybe.....I
subscribe to several moderated groups and they get even
more spam.)

there are volunteers who try to watch for spam and other abuses,
and there are administrators who can be alerted (by email) when
abuses occur. But there are thousands of newsgroups and not
enough people to do really dedicated monitoring.

can you elaborate on your specific concerns?
