| No. I'm not saying that Money is incapable of importing Quicken Files. Money2004 is incapable of importing Quicken2004 files. 2003 and earlier it is supposed to do. (Money 2003 was incapable of Quicken 2003 files. Quicken2002 and earlier it can do.) Read my comment ad substitute years for x. | This sounds like the same problem I'm having. I installed the trial version of Money 2004 yesterday and used the convert Quicken data function to bring my Quicken Deluxe 2004 data into Money. I tried the conversion process twice, and each time in the "Summary of the Conversion" window I see all my accounts with 0.00 balances (wish that were true of the liability accounts) and notes after each of them reading: "Your Quicken file contained invalid transaction types," whatever that means. It shows the correct Quicken Balance under that column heading, but nothing but zeros under the Money Balance column heading. When I open the register of any account, all I see are hundreds of entries dated 1/1/1900, nothing in the Payee column, a "C" in the cleared column, nothing in the Charge column, 0.00 in the Credit column, and 0.00 in the Balance column. Are you saying that Money is incapable of converting Quicken data files? What is Qx-1? | Asked and answered several times a week. Mx can't import Qx and is not documented as being able to, Mx can only import Qx-1 or less. Mx and Qx come out at the same time. Money designers are not clairvoyant about what the Quicken designers are doing. | I downloaded and installed MS Money trial version and after trying to bring across my Quicken QDF file, Money has the accounts but no entries in the check registers. I tried both the File/ Import and the File/ Convert function. I do not use passwords. How do I get the rest of my Quicken data across? I am using Win 2000 pro. |
