| Prior to M2004 (maybe M2003?) you had to have full Admin rights for both users to share the Money File and you similarly had to install from a user with full Admin. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money Hints/Tips http://support.microsoft.com/default...d=fh;EN-GB;mny UK Wishes/Suggestions mnyukwsh[at]microsoft.com .. | I have the same problem. It's not that we want access to the same file simultanously, just acess by different users of one machine. I am using 2000. I have friends that are using a newer version and have no problems. - quote - > -----Original Message----- > I can't get Money to transfer information from the > primary user to the secondary user. | I'm not the expert here, but keep in mind that every post I've seen on the topic says that simultaneous updates by two users guarantees a destroyed Money file. -- Joe Norton "Rob Z" <anonymous[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:077101c3b76a$cfceaa70$a501280a[at]phx.gbl... - quote - > I can't get Money to transfer information from the > primary user to the secondary user. | I can't get Money to transfer information from the primary user to the secondary user. I tried saving the Money file as a shared document under Windows XP but when it is accessed, it has a message stating that the file is read only. I can't find a way to modify this so both my wife and I can access and imput into the same file from our respective log-ons |
