Have not noticed that. Usually avoid CUSA like the plague
but could not resist...
Taxcut 04 Prem. 39.95 -10mir
Money Deluxe '04 FREE after rebate
Norton IS '04 FREE after rebate
Deduction Pro FREE after rebate
CUSA 16mb flash drive FREE after rebate

Can't get better than that.

Just picked up the following at Staples. Here's how it works:

Turbo Tax Deluxe - $39.95
- Intuit Rebate - $10.00
===========================
Net Cost $29.95

Quicken 04 Deluxe - $59.95
- "Instant Staples Rebate" $30.00
- Intuit Rebate $29.95
==========================
Net cost $0.00

12 Sheet Shredder $19.94
- Staples Rebate $19.94
==========================
Net Cost $0.00

Total Net Cost $29.95

It's not clear from their inserts or displays just how long the Q04 will be
$30 off list.... The $30 Intuit rebate applies to any version of Q Deluxe or
better....

Quicken usually comes out in the early fall, so 2005 should be Aug/Sept 2005

The web page is definitely different than the newspaper ad. The ad I was
refering to was quite clear:

<http://instorespecials.staples.com/s...1&pagenumber=5
TurboTax Deluxe is $29.95 after a $10 rebate, Quicken Deluxe is free after a $30
instore rebate and a $30 mail in rebate, when purchased with TTax.

What's interesting is the deal does not appear to be Staples specific as the
combined rebate coupon is in the TurboTax box.

Sounds like Staples is trying to confuse its customers. The way the offer
reads to me is; you buy TT Deluxe for $39.95, then send for a $10
rebate........& a rebate for a free copy of Quicken Basic.
http://makeashorterlink.com/?P2E562AA6

However if you go to the Quicken 2004 Deluxe page;
http://makeashorterlink.com/?J61621AA6

It says its free with the purchase of TT Deluxe, but when you click on the
link it goes to the TT page where it shows the freebie is the basic version.
Oh well.....sounds like Q2005 is just about here so I think I'll wait.
Anyone know yet what's new in Q2005?

Actually, I wondered the same thing looking at the inserts on Wednesday.

Default Where's MSMoney?

Has Microsoft thrown in the towel? MSMoney is usually featured heavily in all
the ads this time of year. The only one I've seen is Money Basic for $5 at
CompUSA.

Then again, it's hard to beat Intuit when they are doing a Quicken Deluxe /
TurboTax Deluxe combined deal for $30 (Staples).
