 Re: Balancing and Closing a Mortgage Loan There are several ways. The fastest is to use adjust loan balance from the account register. You can close the account from account details. As to the asset account, unless your equity went up in smoke, I'd consider transferring the portion of the asset you retained to some other account. I'm wondering if you wouldn't be better off reading the refi/sell house FAQs?
