| Ok, I found a few knowledgebase articles that seemed to apply to me. The first was related to Internet Explorer security, and the steps to correct didn't help. Then I found another article (#331123) titled: Money: Error Message: Money Is Unable to Verify Your Online Sign In. This article mentioned msxml3.dll COM registration. Basically, all I needed to do was Start | Run | "regsvr32 msxml3.dll" After that, Money logged into Passport no problem. I believe I found a knowledgebase article once which suggested the IE settings were the culprit, but as you I found that not to be the case. I'm not so sure having the online "features" disabled is such a bad thing. ![]() My biggest gripe right now about it is that with 2003 they made an ever-so-slight change to the login screen which makes you have to click on the offline option (the keyboard shortcut is removed) which just makes this issue more of a PITA than it was in the previous version. I can't help feel that it was an intentional effort by MS to entice you to use the Passport login, although one would THINK they shouldn't care. Hmmm. | Thanks for the input. I haven't tried taking down my LinkSys yet to see if that helps, but I did go through all sorts of different configs, enabling UPnP, disabling again, rebooting, etc... and nothing worked. Tried readjusting my IE Security settings to make them more relaxed (thinking that money used IE APIs maybe...). Still have the problem. | Anybody have any experience with passport not authenticating in Money 2004? I get the following error: The sign-in attempt for {my passport id} was unsuccessful. Please try your sign-in name and password again. My MSN Messenger 6.1 and my Pocket PC Messenger both login in fine from the same machine the Money is installed on. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! |
