| I've had the same problem where Money did not update any of the prices in my portfolio. I used a MS KB article which basically just told me to reinstall Money...I did it and amazingly, the internet price update feature works fine now. Two KB articles you might want to check out (your issue might not be exactly the same as mine): http://support.microsoft.com/default...roduct=mny2003 http://support.microsoft.com/default...roduct=mny2003 Hope it works for you too. -Eric "RWS" <anonymous[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:<018001c3a7b4$da4ac170$a301280a[at]phx.gbl> ... - quote - > Well my only other idea is to completly wipe out my > computer and reinstall everything like new however if you > are correct and it is the canadaian stocks then that will > not work either..Any other suggestions > Wayne in Ont |

| To the previous message. I have updated Money using the bottom left pane. No luck in fixing update issue. I have 2003 and it isn't updating .... so I wouldn't upgrade to 2003. I have called Dell as well because I added it when I bought the computer and microsoft tells me I have to go through dell which can't seem to help with me with this problem. I can get the stocks to work - not the mutal funds - Canadian ones. Seems to me the common thread is the cdn mutal funds. I pretty sure the problem is that the server that it goes to isn't working and that is what hangs up Money. Of course if I could actually talk with Microsoft we could likely solve it. If you do by upgraded version maybe you can talk directly to Microsoft ... Doubly frustrated in Canada..... - quote - > -----Original Message----- > Have you any follow up to your problems yet to Money not > updating.. | This is an update to my note below. I tried reducing the number of items I asked it to update and adding things back on until the update quotes locked up. it took 17 items - almost all stocks with exception of 2 indexes. However as soon as I added either Mutal funds (Cdn) or std and poor index, then Money failled to update. | It seems that Money goes to www.spcomstock.com to get quote updates (look in my information sheet) ... however that site has change to www.comstock- interactivedata.com. Now online updating in Money doesn't work ... at least mine doesn't. Try to go to the www.spcomstock.com and you'll time out with an error. I don't see any way to change how money accesses the web site. Thoughts .... am I off base. Have read other notes on the subject and suggestions around firewalls etc. I haven't changed mine, but just in case turned it off and still money won't update.... pretty sure the change in the data source is the problem for me and others. |
