| The general advice in this case, if you don't own both funds, is to change the name/symbol as required and do a split in the closest integral ratio of x:y. Maybe Cal will have a better answer. | I have a mutual fund in my Money 2002 Portfolio that recently exchanged its shares for another mutual fund shares within the family. The fund is referring to this transaction as a merger transaction. All they did was give me x shares at y$ in the new fund for the current shares I had in the old fund. What is the proper way to record this in Money 2002? Remove shares and add shares? Transfer in and transfer out? Or something else? Thanks, Brent Fidler |
