I assume you still have a copy of your file that pre-dates the QIF
import attempt. I would try importing the single QIF as a statement
rather than a new or recovered account. That way, I think, Money
looks for duplicates.

Before doing this I have to recreate each account correct and leave it
blank??

To get round the duplicate entries when you import, bring in all the files
together. Use Ctrl + click when asked which file to import.

Some more info.
the problem I'm experiencing is in an account I have a couple of
transactions that I'm trying to mark cleared for doing a month end balance.
These transactions can't be changed in anyway. I can't even delete them.

Also I'm willing to upgrade to 2003 if it would make the fix easier.
