| I believe it's a Canadian vs US version issue. US version (which, AIR, is what the trial is) can't work with a file from a Canadian version. If you really want to try it out, you could open your file in your Canadian 99 version, export the accounts to QIF files, then open Money 2004 and import those QIF's. The other option would be to just buy the Canadian version and take advantage of the 30-day money-back guarantee. | I have been a user of the Canadian MS Money program for 4 years now. I just downloaded MS Money 2004 and installed the 60-day Trial Version. During the conversion, nothing asked me for which country I wanted the system set. When I tried to access my pre-existing data from the 1999 system, I got the message, "Money cannot open this file because it was created by an incompatible version." Is this a US vs Canadian issue, or is it more basic file format incompatibility? How do I transfer all my history to the new version? I don't want to lose all my transaction history!!! Please help. Thank you. Jerry |
