Default editing bill messes up the budget

Thanks, Terry,

It appears that if I delete and then re-enter the bill, I
don't have the problem anymore.

I use Money 2004 and editing strait from "bills and
deposits".

Thanks,
Raz

You don't mention which version of money you are using but
it sounds like the same problem I have with Money 2001.
Couple of things to consider; are you making the change
during the month the bill occours? this can cause problems
like deleting it from the current months budget and
putting it in the next month.
Are you making the change under the current bills and
deposits or Schedule future bills & deposits? as the
former only changes that instance of the bill.
Finally I usually find it easier to delete the bill and re
create it when I edit in order to force it to appear
correctly by month and amount (in future bills & deposits)

Default editing bill messes up the budget

I have an upcoming bill. If I edit for instance the
amount, the budget for this month will show the sum of
the old value and the new value. Next month, it will come
back to display the new value only.

It's as if it thinks it has to pay 2 bills instead of 1.

How can I convince the budget to remove the old value?
