I am having a problem with Money 2004's portfolio update, too. I just
installed it and entered portfolio data yesterday.

I found that apparently after updating, Money then works in the
background to "post" the data to the database. So many stocks that
had no price history data yesterday show a six-month history today. I
think six month's of data must be the limit (unfortunately, because it
would be nice to see long-term charts).

In any event, my problem seemed to self-resolve except for one stock
that isn't getting any data. That stock seems to have changed symbols
(according to Yahoo), and I've written Microsoft Technical Support to
see what they can find out about it.

In the portfolio view, where the status shows on the bottom of the
screen, see if the info to the right of the "Internet Updates" pop-up
menu says anything about updating data.

Hopefully by the time you read this, your data will have appeared.

We have internet connection through our cable provider.
When I look at the connection screen it says there is not
a dial-up connection but the default shows as our old
dial up group. However, the default is a gray shade so I
am not sure it is active. How do I check this and/or
what do I do?
