In Windows 95 you just told the OS you had an always-on connection. Later versions have a different setting. Since I am not configured for dialup now, I don't know. Perhaps you could try toggling Tools-> Options-Connections-> LeaveMyInternetConnectionOpenAfterDownloading... twice. - quote - > How did Background Banking get on my computer? It was not

| Cal- Thanks for the quick response. I went to the help on Money 2003 re Background Banking. According to that, if I disable it I will have no online services at all. there is no distinction made re manually updating prices via online. I have no boxes checked in Background Banking to tell it to automatically update prices on any frequency schedule. If it is not checked it shouldn't do it. Correct? Also I can find nothing to keep Money from disconnecting me from the Internet after prices are downloaded (second part of my question). I have it checked to keep connection OPEN but it does not. How did Background Banking get on my computer? It was not there until the last month. How can I stop Microsoft from putting things on my computer that I have not requested (third part of my question)? This is a little too much "Big Brother". Thanks, Jim T - quote - > -----Original Message----- > In microsoft.public.money, Jim T wrote: > > Money seems to have a mind of its own! You would not be able to use Synchronization if you removed the Passport. Help in your version should give you information on these terms. |
