Avoid changing the opening balance, unless you want Money to insert

Money plus premium
I have been using money fo 5 years with no problem balancing my checking
account.

Now i can't get it to balance.
It says the difference between your statement & register is 12,848.75
My balence is 2611.49 on my register.
On my bank statement the opening balance is 3143.69
Closing balance is 3297.41

How can it be off by 12000.00 ?
What can i do to balance the account ?
