Default Re: Money Keeps Shutting Down since XP Service Pack 3 was installe

This solution seems to have worked (I used the second method outlined), even
though the message I received after I repaired the file said that nothing
broken had been found. Go figure.

Thanks!

Try making a repaired version of your file by running salv.exe
(level 2).

salv.exe may be in
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money 2005\MNYCoreFiles

Note that MNYCoreFiles is usually hidden.

You could alternatively do the repair by opening Money by opening
sample.exe from your Money install folder (typically
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Money 2005") and doing
File-> RepairMoneyFile-> StandardFileRepair level 2. Those methods are
equivalent.

You will need to Browse to your *.mny file, and choose a name for
the repaired file.

Default Money Keeps Shutting Down since XP Service Pack 3 was installed

Microsoft prompted me to install some secuirty updates yesterday, and since
then Microsoft Money Small Business 2005 will not stay open.

Shortly after opening the program, and without clicking on anything, I get
the message, "We're sorry, but Microsoft Money has experienced an internal
error and will have to restart." The error signature is AppName: msmoney.exe
AppVer: 14.0.0.1105 ModName: myisam05.dll ModVer: 4.0.3107.7 Offset:
00001b37.

Upon restarting Money, the same error occurs. I have uninstalled and
re-installed Money, and run the Money updates to get current versions of
everything, but the problem continues to occur every time I start Money,
usually within 10 seconds of opening the program.

I am using Windows XP 2002 Home Edition Service Pack 3.
Help?!
