Thereafter choose it from the drop-down list. If that is not an option due to your downloading and told Money it was a new fund, check back. There is a solution for that too, especially if you are running a newer version of Money. - quote - > BTW, how do I get rid of old fund names which seem to get retained
Investing-> Portfolio-> WorkWithInvestments-> DeleteAnInvestment. If> within Money? you have transactions for that fund, it will be grayed out. In older versions it was critical that you blank the symbol first. In newer versions, I don't think that is necessary, but it wouldn't hurt to do so. - quote - > Any help will be appreciated. This problem can be resolved by going into the Portfolio Manger and> I am currently running MS Money Deluxe Pro on Vista x64. | I could really use your help on this issue. I am currently running MS Money Deluxe Pro on Vista x64. When I go to one of my mutual funds to add the corresponding stock ticker symbol I get an error message which says that the symbol has already been assigned to another fund. I think what happened was that I used to have this same fund a while back but I spelled/abbreviated it differently when I added it to my account. Now that I am doing automatic account updates from my broker, the fund is spelled slightly differently and hence the ticker symbol can't be reconciled with the 'new' name. For example, one fund in question is Spartan U.S. Equity Index (FUSEX). When I originally entered it into Money I listed it as Spartan U.S. Equity. I later deleted it because I no longer owned it until recently. My 401k account has it listed as Spartan U.S. Equity Index Fund. Since I now do automatic updates this is how it is now listed in Money. I am unable to associate FUSEX with the fund at this point. What should I do? BTW, how do I get rid of old fund names which seem to get retained within Money? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks. -Angus |
