| I restored the previous backup, with no success. In fact, I have tried this in the past and it tends to mess up other accounts, specifically my ING account. It seems like if you lose access to online accounts, restoring previous files does not work. Thanks anyway "Cal Learner-- MVP" wrote: - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, Wayne wrote: > > > Can someone please help, as I was recently able to automatically download > > transaction, but since I temporarily disabled the online service I now cannot > > renew. > Don't overwrite your recent backups. > Money 2006, by default, keeps your latest 4 backups on the hard > drive. One more thing: I don't know if the fact that Money 2006 is expiredfor [some] online access would keep you from getting set up freshly. It sounds as if you got farther than I would have expected, but I don't know. Maybe once you are set up with a given provider, you won't have a problem with what you are wanting to do. Not sure. |

Don't overwrite your recent backups.> transaction, but since I temporarily disabled the online service I now cannot > renew. Money 2006, by default, keeps your latest 4 backups on the hard drive. That can be increased. Plus you have your scheduled backups. To preserve your option of restoring, keep the appropriate backups, rather than letting them get overwritten. Then you can work on things. But you have the option of file-> Restore to get your back as you were before. Maybe the setup in the old file will give you a clue. Maybe you will just let it think your interest rate is something else, and know that Money's suggestion as to which card to apply the most payment to may need some intervention on your part. |

| I have Money 2006 standard edition. I automatically update most of my accounts. I was recently able to automatically download transaction from my Capital one credit card. I disabled the online service to make a change to my interest rate. I then went to set up the online service again. I select Capital one Bank, then its gives me 3 choices 1) No, I don't have sign in information for Capital one, 2) Yes, I have the sign-in information for the capital one bank, but I don't have special sign-in information for use with Money, 3) Yes, I have special sign-in information for use with Money. I choose #3. I then enter my user name and password ( the same one I use for online service directly. I click next, and it says I don't have any active online accounts with the bank or brokerage. I called Capital one to make sure I didn't need a special login. They said no and all my account were working fine. I even tried entering #2, which sent me to the Capital one sight to enroll in the online banking. I tried entering my credit card info again thinking I would get a special passord, but it said I already have active accounts with them. Can someone please help, as I was recently able to automatically download transaction, but since I temporarily disabled the online service I now cannot renew. Thanks |
