I think that is "C:\ProgramData" in Vista with a SYMLINKD alias of> "C\Program Data" in Windows Vista. This causes issues for some programs. "C:\Users\All Users". The SYMLINKD might cause problems for some programs. |

Also, the contents of "C\Program Data" are sometimes "virtualized" to "C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramData" if a program isn't explicitly "Run as Administrator" by right-clicking the program shortcut and choosing that option. As such, any attempted modifications to the original files will probably redirect here. This usually isn't a problem if a single user is using a single logon, but if multiple users are involved, each will have their own "virtualized" copy of the data. Fixing these problems may involve modifying any directories created under "C:\Program Data" by the invoicing module to allow full control for whichever users need access to that data. -- Scott Tyler agent_scotty-at-hotmail-dot-com |

Let's save those for later, or appeal to other readers, since I'm not an authority. You have a newer version of Money than I, but I don't think much changed in the invoice area. * Go to the folder: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\Money\17.0\Invoice One or more of these folders may be hidden. Let us know if you don't know how to unhide them. * Edit this file with the NotePad editor: 2008Invoice.ntd Again, I have Money 2007, so I'm making a SWAG at the file name. It will definitely be a ".ntd" file. I recommend you make a backup copy of this file before you change it. * Find the line that goes with your custom invoice. It will start with the name you chose and look something like this: New Life - blue/1100/850/portrait/usr9.htm/0 I named my invoice "New Life - blue", and Money stored it in the file usr9.htm. This file lists all the invoice templates, and controls the order in which they appear in the drop-down. * Move this line to the top of the file. Take the opportunity to sort the rest of the lines in any order you like. * Save and close 2008Invoice.ntd Your custom invoice will now be at the top of the drop-down list. I'm 90% sure that will make it the default--I did this for myself, but I've slept since then. -- Steve Bell New Life Home Improvement Arlington, TX |

| I am just learning Money Plus Home and Business. The documentation that MS supplies on line is not very useful. Is there better documentation somewhere? For instance, I want the invoice that I designed to be my default invoice. I want to email this invoice to my clients. Is there a way to do this? -- Teresa |
