| Thanks, that done the trick. For interest, the stock was HBoS in the UK, and the split date was 1st Oct 2008. It was showing as a 102/100 split. I just deleted it and things are ok now. To work around this, look at the split history for a stock. Go to> purchase price and commission etc. I just went to update my shares, and > found that for one of my stocks the purchase price and number of shares > bought have changed for my historical transactions. UpdatePrices-> UpdatePricesManually, Look through the table and find the entries in the Source column that say "Stock Split". The first split, going back in time, will be identifiable by the quotes being suffixed with an 'S' for the price. The first may not be the bad one. Note the date of the bad split. It is not necessary to delete it at this point. Click Close. Then UpdatePrices-> RecordASplit. Record a split for the date you noted as a 1 for 1 split. Accept that you are overwriting the existing split. That should inoculate you to a re-download of the bad split for that date-- at least for some versions. Let us know how that works out for you. It would be nice if post the symbol for the stock and the date of the bad split data. |

| I manually enter all share transactions into Money, i.e. number bought, purchase price and commission etc. I just went to update my shares, and found that for one of my stocks the purchase price and number of shares bought have changed for my historical transactions. The total cash value of the transactions have remained the same, but the purchase price has dropped and the number of shares increased. All transactions have change by the same ratio. I noticed this because the number of shares for one of my stocks in MSMoney is now different from the number that I actually hold, when they used to match a few months ago when I last updated money. I can see that the price for the affected shares now has as 's' at the end, i.e. 3.065s If I manually change the price for the transactions, the 's' remains. I assume the 's' means something, and probably has to do with the issue I am having. Can anyone help please? Soapy |
