| I had not done one recently and forgot the steps. When the "Select a bank or brokerage" box comes up, check the box in the lower left that says "My bank or brokerage isn't listed". Or are you saying to sign up for the MSN and *then* you can bypass actually using it? I don't want to go too far and find that I'm linked with no way of unlinking. - quote - > "Grouch" <grouch33[at]email.com> wrote in message > news:tb03j45tf6efo1m0vhmfpm90fjabddklta[at]4ax.com... > > I'm running Money Plus Premium and have been getting my online updates > > directly. | If you just continue the addition of the new account you will be able to set up the account. This is just a warning that if you wish automatic downloads from this FI that you will need to change over the Live ID. I likewise do not set up for online updates from any FI that does not provide them directly. You do not need to link Money to MSN. I do not for the same reason you list. | I'm running Money Plus Premium and have been getting my online updates directly. I never linked Money to MSN in previous versions, because it seemed unnecessarily risky to share the information. It's worked fine for all the accounts I update. However, I just added a new credit card and now Money says,"To get online updates from this bank or brokerage, you must change Money's settings to use a Windows Live ID at sign-in and activate the MSN Money My Accounts service. To change your settings so you can use online updates for this bank, click Next. " Is there any way to by pass this and set up the new credit card, so that it will update, but not force me to go through MSN? It obviously works, as my other 4 accounts update just fine. |
