Default Re: Money 2001 on XP password problem

As Cal has said this message is a rather cack-handed way of MS telling you
you are trying to open a file produced by version N+1 in version N.

In later versions of Money the message is a bit more meaningful!

Most probably, the backup was produced by a version of Money newer
than Money 2001. You need a version at least as new.

Default Money 2001 on XP password problem

I am trying to open a Money file on my newer PC that uses Micosoft XP. I
reinstalled my copy of MS Money 2001 and tried to open the most recent money
file from my back up floppies and it is asking for a password before it will
open!

I have never used a password on MS Money.

Is there a way around this?. I've tried it on two computers in our household
that both run on XP. My version on my computer before it became faulty was ME.

Any suggestions please...Thanks

Big Kev
