I recommend you try the Money Plus Deluxe trial. It is much more in> what seems so strange to me. | Save your Money. MEss does not do very much and will quickly frustrate you with its lack of functionality. Download the trial version of M+ Deluxe and see if you think that version is worth the cost for you. -- Peace, BobJ "gregar_kj" <gregarkj[at]discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:522622EA-7EEE-4F15-9639-5EDEB65B150D[at]microsoft.com... - quote - > The account settings does not have the option for starting balance. that > is > what seems so strange to me. | The account settings does not have the option for starting balance. that is what seems so strange to me. I am using the trial version but if I cannot get a good balance I am not going to buy it. I don't use Essentials, but it is mostly a subset of Deluxe.> the bank but it does not ask what the starting balance should be. So the > account list shows one balance and the register shows the bank's balance. > How do I get them to match up? I have not entered any pending items or > anything. thanks There will be two balances you will see. One is the sum of the transactions that are in the register plus the starting balance, and one is the "bank balance" as reported by the bank. If you want to adjust the starting balance to make up for the difference, see if you can go to the AccountList, right-click the account, choose AccountSettings, and change the OpeningBalance |

| I created a new account and downloaded all the data for the whole year from the bank but it does not ask what the starting balance should be. So the account list shows one balance and the register shows the bank's balance. How do I get them to match up? I have not entered any pending items or anything. thanks |
