| Be aware that Essentials is a very limited program (IMHO little better than Excel) and that may be the problem. Also be aware that not many posters here use Essentials and anyone who has, has very smartly switched to Money Plus! -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For unofficial FAQs see http://money.mvps.org/ or http://umpmfaq.info/ I do not respond to any emails that I have not specifically asked for. Are you sure you have no backup files? Look for *.mbf files.> transaction from the register. If you mean it is the first time you have even had Money open, File-> New-> NewFile should let you start over with a new file. |

| I'm using Microsoft Money Essentials (Trial) and I accidentally deleted a transaction from the register. I immediately tried to click "undo" to no avail and the steps I've found online to enable the "Advanced Register" don't (seem to) work with the verion I'm evaluating. If I try to manually add the transaction back in then it's treated like something that hasn't cleared the bank yet. How do I restore my deleted record? I don't have a backup because this is my first time using it. |
