| Forecast Cash Flow is pretty brain damaged when taking Budget into account. For one thing, there is no such thing as a non-monthly budgeted amount. All of them get adjusted to monthly. I'm 110% with what you want to do. Just the Money Budgets never really work all that well. I use lots of scheduled bills and, occasionally, only once items just to get cash flow projections up to where I want them to be to manage my finances. | However, it looks like Cash Flow won't recognize budget items. For example, I put in a very large one time entry in the budget just to make sure it (adversley) impacts cash flow. I see no impact. For what it's worth, I want to want Cash Flow to look at scheduled events (deposits and bills) and also take into account one time events that I want to manage in my budget. This way I can look out over several months to forecast financial health. | At the link below that Dick provides are instructions on how to get into the old Advanced Budget - put this into the address bar in Money: money://navigate/newadvbgt and hit enter. Money will lanuch you into the old Budget wizard. Complete steps, then launch Cash Flow. Cash flow then prompts you to use info from Budget and not trending. | Are you using the S&S Budget or the Essential Budget? I'm not sure, but you may need to be using Advanced Budget. See http://umpmfaq.info/faqdb.php?q=186 for how to get there if you are using M07 or above. | Hello - I'm trying to use budget items in my Cashflow Forecast. However, that option is disabled in my Cash Flow settings dialog. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to enable it? Jeff |
