| When you bought your old computer it had Money pre-installed on it and the license only allowed you to use Money on that old computer. If you want to use Money on the new computer you must buy a new copy of Money. Technically there is no way to transfer the program and even if you were able to you would be in breach of the license. -- Regards Bob Peel, Microsoft MVP - Money For unofficial FAQs see http://money.mvps.org/ or http://umpmfaq.info/ I do not respond to any emails that I have not specifically asked for. | That is a VERY COMMON situation for Windows applications because of all of the metadata about the application and its interfaces that the installer has to register with and tailor to the operating system. | So in other words I have a program on the old computer that I have no way of transfering over? Is there a transfer program that I can use to get that to cross over to the new system? Please help! P.S. Thank you all for being so prompt on replying..... this forum is great!!! Thanks again! Install Money from your original install disk.> Money 03. I want to transfer over my Money 03 program and files to my new > computer but Im not sure how to transfer all those files and the whole > program!! Let me know how to go about doing that! Thanks JEREMY Copy only your *.mny and recent *.mbf files to your Documents folder on the new computer. Open Money by right-clicking your *.mny file. Make sure you adjust the backup locations to places that actually exist on the new computer. Use Browse for that. It can be useful to set a USB to a fixed drive letter for your scheduled backup to "floppy". |
