Default Re: Capital One Downloads (and other Yodlee Downloads) not working

Probably right. It apparently updated itself later (not sure why) and it is now fixed. I had to merge some duplicate accounts, but it is working. I think Yodlee is really kludgy anyhow. They are the slowest and more problematic. I wish all Banks would use OFX, but I fear OFX is dying.

I would try again tomorrow. It may take time for the MSN server to
populate with the updated info.

It seems to be making my file worse. Now it still doesn't update, now the results still say my files are updating instead of update failed. How do I clear this? Thanks.

I would expect this to be the case for the US case, but I see ING
Direct Canada has real OFX servers, and thus it would not be
affected.

Of course, it didn't work ! It looks like a lot of people have this
issue, but nothing official yet from Microsoft.

I am having the same issue. I cannot access my bank accounts either in
Money Plus or the MSN website. I deleted all my accounts and tried to
set them up from scratch, but that didn't work either. I finally
contacted customer support, and this is what they suggested that I do:

For Internet Explorer 6.0
1. Start Internet Explorer.
2. On the toolbar, click Tools, and then click Internet Options.
3. On the General tab, click Delete in the Browsing history area.
4. In the Delete Browsing History dialog box, click Delete files,
and then click Yes in the Delete Files dialog box.
5. Click Delete Cookies, and then click Yes in the Delete Cookies
dialog box.
6. Click Delete History, and then click Yes in the Delete History
dialog box.
7. Click Delete forms and then click Yes in the Delete Form Data
dialog box.
8. Click Close, and then click OK.

For Internet Explorer 7.0

1. Click on Start > Control panel.
2. Select Internet option.
3. Under Browsing history, click the Delete button.
4. On the next window, delete Temp. Files, Cookies, and History.
5. Reset your computer and try to access My Accounts.

Frustrating ...

I just tried setting up using a different passport, and it still doesn't work, so I don't think it is anything to do with us.

I should probably add that the MSN Money "My Accounts Technical
Support" page shows the folling error code associated with all these
accounts:

---begin---
MSN Error Code -2000
Provider Name Yodlee
---end---

I looked up Error -2000 and this is the explanation:

---begin---

MSN Money had a technical problem while processing account information
from the data provider, and this problem in turn has caused an
internal system failure. To troubleshoot this problem, do one of the
following:

· If you are trying to set up an account that already has
online services configured, see the following article in the Microsoft
Knowledge Base. You receive the "Account setup is temporarily
unavailable" error message when you try to set up a Money 2005 account
or a Money 2006 account to download data from Yodlee services

· If the account is updating and suddenly stops updating,
try creating a new Passport Network user name and password, and then
set up the account again. If the problem persists, contact Microsoft
Product Support Services.

I doubt Tech Support will help. Here's what I got from them. Stopping Online Services won't help since you cannot restart them for the same reason that we cannot update them. Notice I didn't get an email account to which I could reply. I went to yodlee and set up a free account there and had no trouble communicating with my bank or credit card with them.

Hello Customer,

I hope you are doing great.

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Money Online Support Services. My name is Gerardo Valles, and I'll be assisting you with your case today.

To give the most accurate support possible, I would like to give a brief summary of the problem as I understand it.

You are not able to update some of your banking accounta in Microsoft Money recently, the ones that work with Yodlee.

If I have misunderstood the issue, please don't hesitate to let me know.

I apologize things are not working as they should and I will certainly help you with the issue in any possible way I can.

We have been experiencing some inconveniences with the Online Updates for some accounts so I would like you to provide me with some information in order to establish the possible cause for this, we are already working trying to find a resolution.

I would like you to provide me with the Windows Live ID that you use to secure your Money file because it is used to connect with the banks and saves the error message which I can retrieve with a tool that we have.

Please try resetting the account meanwhile you provide me with this crucial information.

To do so please follow these steps:

Go to Banking.

Select the Account Tools option.

Manage Online Settings.

Click the account.

In the list displayed, you should be able to see a list which has a Stop Using Online Services for this account link.

Once you have done so, please go again to the Manage Online Settings page.

In the same line as the account, at the very right part, click on the "Complete Setup for Online Services link"

Set your account information in order to get the account updates running again.

Please let me know the information requested and if you were able to set Online Services again correctly.

If anything is unclear, please feel free to let me know. I look forward to your reply.

Thank you for choosing Microsoft.

Yup, I'm having the same problem. Many of my accounts no longer will
update in MS Money Deluxe Plus. I think the problem accounts are all
the Yodlee ones. e.g. HSBC, ING, etc, which require contact with my
the MSN Money website/server. All my direct connect accounts (no
Yodlee) still work just fine.

I've tried bypassing MS Money and going directly to the MSN Money
website. But this does help, as I cannot get those accounts to update
there either.

I have also tried resetting all stored account information in MSN
Money, and then re-entering the relevant banking passwords. I have
tired this in MS Money and directly in the MSN Money website. This
also does not work, as the accounts fail to complete the setup process
with this error:

"The last account update was not successful. Please set up this
account again. If the problem continues, contact Customer Support."

Finally, I tried creating a fresh MSN Passport account and adding the
problem accounts to that virgin configuration. No dice, same erors.

So, it seems to me that Yodlee, or some related underlying service is
down. Yet, the MS Money server status page does reflect this. The
problem has persists for serveral days already...

Anyone know what's up?!

Default Re: Capital One Downloads (and other Yodlee Downloads) not working

I have confirmed it doesn't work at MSNMoney site either, but nothing at MSN or at Yodlee to confirm it. Why cannot they just post that it is out and when to expect it to return so we don't waste time trying to figure out what we did wrong?

I have been experiencing the same issue. Updates have failed for accounts
connected via Yodlee (Bank of America credit card, Capital One) starting on
11/4/2008. The MSN Money Network Status page, however, doesn't list this as
a known issue.

None of these are working for me today. I assume it is down. I don't know how to find out though.

I use MS Money to download transactions of Capital One and Bank of America
credit cards. For the last 4 days, MS Money has been unable to download
these transactions, and when I log into the "My Money" section of the MSN
Money web site, I cannot download the transactions either. Both of these
downloads are handled via the Yodlee service. Is this a known outage? Are
others experiencing the same problem? Is there a solution? I've tried
logging in and out of Passport, but the downloads continue to fail.

Thanks,
Reddog
