Probably easier to delete the account. The overhead to setup the account is
smaller than the cost in time of deleting all those transactions one by one.
One issue to consider: are there Transfers into or out of the existing
account? You could create the new account first and change the Transfer To
account in these if this is an issue.

When doing a big change like this it is ALWAYS a good idea to make a copy of
your file immediately beforehand in case you run into any unintended side
effects and want to start over trying something different.

I need to start over on one of my 401k accounts and there are several
hundred transactions; is there a way to delete more than one transaction at
a time, or would it be easier and faster to just start a new account?
