| STOP!! Before you do anything else go back to your last backup before you archived and restore that backup! Then update your file to account for all the transactions since that backup. Archiving is a disaster. It does nothing for you except lose access to all your transactions prior to the archiving date. The slightly smaller file will give you no gain. After you recover your file, someone here can help you with your problem, which has nothing to do with the size of your data file. -- Peace, BobJ "Cal Learner-- MVP" <via_newsgroup[at]please.tnx> wrote in message news:e0jeg49tkrcvpdn1mcsiur072e07pe0u1i[at]4ax.com... - quote - > In microsoft.public.money, ChristinaL30 wrote: > > I have a stock split that I need to enter in Money 2001 Standard Edition > > (yes, I know it's old, but upgrading is not an option now). | I have a stock split that I need to enter in Money 2001 Standard Edition (yes, I know it's old, but upgrading is not an option now). When I try to enter it, I get the message, "The stock split could not be completed due to lack of disk space." (There's plenty of space on the hard disk, of course.) I have tried archiving old transactions, I ran scandisk & defrag, and even tried doing a split in the sample file (which worked fine), but nothing has fixed this. I could change the original buy orders to the split-adjusted quantities & prices, but I'd rather fix the root problem. (BTW, I'm running Me on a laptop and I've already maxed out the RAM.) |
