(I meant to say that I had disabled automatic installations of updates, but downloading and notifying is still active. I figured that it would be best to install the critical updates one at a time and then check to see that Money still works. You're probably right that it was something else... maybe McAfee or an HP program I had loaded about that time.) |

Consider this: have updates just notify you. Install maybe the first 25%, and see if things break. If it does not break Money, create another restore point, and do the next 25%. If Money stopped working, do a System Restore. ..... Now I wouldn't be surprised if you did all of the critical updates, and found things were working fine. After all, it does for the rest of us with those same updates. In that case, it would seem that it was something other than a Windows update that stopped things from working. |

I turned off automatic updates but I'm wondering what to do now... If I let Windows run updates as it keeps reminding me it needs to do will Money stop loading again? |
